Virtual Events Using Remo

Due to the current health risks from holding in-person events, ASHE SNJ has joined with ASHE NCNJ to hold events virtually using Remo.

A link to the virtual session will be provided in the reminder emails after the close of registration. We ask that all attendees register before the event registration closing date to minimize event access issues.

The reminders emails with a link to the event are sent at 4:00 pm the day before the event and at 4:00 pm on the day of the event. If you did not register until after the registration closing date, you may only receive the second event reminder email.

In order to ensure an enjoyable and successful event, we ask that participants review the following and resolve any issues before the event:

  • Log on in advance to establish your username and password. You may also provide a profile picture and firm name if desired.
  • Become familiar with how Remo works. The event will have a networking portion and a presentation portion. Click on the Remo Event Guide button below for more information.
  • Perform a systems check before the event. Verify that your browser, computer, microphone, and speaker are compatible with Remo before the event. The recommended browsers are Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. Remo is NOT compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) or Edge. Verify that Remo is not firewalled by your IT Department. FAQ

I can't see/hear/click on anything or other attendees can't see/hear me. Can you help?

First, perform a systems check at https://geartest.remo.co/ and address any issues identified by the application. Make sure that you are using Chrome, Safari, or Firefox.

If your system passes the check but you are still experiencing difficulties, Remo has several platform-specific troubleshooting guides, linked below:

Remo's technical support has been responsive and helpful. You can contact them by clicking the pink speech bubble button on the lower left or right corner of screen on any Remo page.

I did not receive an email with the event link. Will you please send it to me?

Our system is configured to send out two automatic emails with the event link: one the day before the event and one at the event start time.

Check your spam or junk folders. Our Remo-related emails have gotten filtered by some firm's junk policies. If this happens to you, please contact your IT department to get our emails white-listed.

Verify that you are registered for the event through ASHE SNJ's website. You can check your registration by logging into your account. When you registered, you should have received several automatic emails from ASHE SNJ, including an invoice and a registration pending and/or confirmed email. If you registered for the event but did not receive these emails, please contact the Website Coordinator or Vice President. Current contact information is available here.

I lost the event link. Will you please send it again?

If you have already clicked on the link and confirmed your registration, you can simply log into https://live.remo.co/ and go to "Joined Events".

I tried to access the event on Remo, but I got a message that my email was not on the invitation list. Can you help?

First, verify that you are registered for the event through ASHE SNJ's website. You can check your registration by logging into your account. When you registered, you should have received several automatic emails from ASHE SNJ, including an invoice and a registration pending and/or confirmed email. If you registered for the event but did not receive these emails, please contact the Website Coordinator or Vice President. Current contact information is available here.

Second, verify that you are using the same email address to log into Remo that you used to register for the event on ASHE's website. If you received a reminder email with the event link, the first line of the email contains the address you should use to log into Remo.

Third, log out of Remo and log back in using the correct email address. When you click on the event link, you should see a circle in either the upper left or right corner of the screen with the Remo "R" symbol, your profile picture, or the first letter of your name. Click on the circle. If you are already logged in, log out and try to log back in. If there is an option to log in, log in using the email address shown in the event reminder emails sent from ASHE SNJ.  DO NOT click "Log in with Google".

If this occurs the day before the event, check back again the day of the event. There can be some delay due to late registrations.
