    SJTPO is the regional transportation planning agency for southern New Jersey,  serving Atlantic, Cape May, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. 

    Are you an experienced professional interested in transportation safety planning, complete streets planning, and related project development? The South Jersey Transportation Planning Organization (SJTPO) is ready to welcome you to our team! SJTPO is seeking a full-time Program Manager to manage several program areas, including the Local Safety Program, Safe Routes to Schools/Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program, and Bicycle/Pedestrian Infrastructure, including Regional Trails, all of which will advance equity-focused federally funded projects in the SJTPO region.

    The starting salary range is $80,000 to $90,000 (Range 8), depending on qualifications and experience.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to representing the SJTPO at local, state, and federal events, program management, development of local project efforts, oversight of SJTPO’s Safety Planning, and other related areas. The Program Manager will report directly to the Executive Director and serve in a supervisory position. The position will oversee others responsible for Economic Development and Tourism, ensuring that safety and complete streets are fully integrated. The position will also help ensure the continued success of SJTPO’s Traffic Safety Education Program and its equitable service to SJTPO’s residents. Fieldwork and travel are required.
