Luke Dragon
Luke was selected to receive a $5,000 scholarship. He finished his Senior year at Rutgers University studying Civil Engineering and is on the Dean’s List. Luke is on the Rutgers Engineering Honors Council and is a member Knights of Columbus where he assisted preparing meals for the local elderly. He had the opportunity to intern at WSP as a Structural Engineering intern. Luke was raised near the Jersey shore and saw the damage to infrastructure caused by Super Storm Sandy. He saw firsthand the reconstruction of the damaged infrastructure caused by Sandy and was interested in how everything was rebuilt to withstand another natural disaster. This led him to pursue a career in engineering after graduating high school. We would like to thank him for volunteering at the golf outing
Mikayla Jones
Mikayla was selected to receive a $3,000 scholarship. She is a Sophomore going into her Junior year at Rowan University studying Civil Engineering and is on the President’s List. She is the Treasurer for the National Society of Black Engineers and a member of American Society of Civil Engineers. Mikayla is a Laboratory Assistant at the Center for Research and Education in Advanced Transportation Engineering. She is a Youth Leader for Glory Tabernacle assisting with organizing community events. Mikayla is looking forward to continuing her education at Rowan while pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.
Abigail Jones
Abigail was selected to receive a $3,000 scholarship. She is a Junior going into her Senior year at Rowan University studying Civil Engineering. Abigail had an internship working at ANSA Motors Limited where she assisted and directed the recycling initiative for all the office branches in Trinidad. She also tutored students in Calculus 1-3 at Rowan. Abigail is from Trinidad and Tobago where you will find a beautiful twin island state but with underlying environmental issues. Flooding is a major issue faced by her country and she has seen the massive impacts flooding can cause to infrastructure and the people. Abigail hopes through her studies that she will learn ways to address these issues as well as other issues affecting her home.
Thomas Logan
Thomas was selected to receive a $3,000 scholarship. He is a Junior going into his Senior year at Rowan University studying Civil Engineering and is on the President’s List. Thomas is the Vice President of the American Society of Highway Engineers and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He will be interning for R.E. Pierson Construction Company this summer. Thomas entered college with the desire to become a Transportation Engineer and has facilitated this through his education as well as his involvement in organizations and his current internship.
Community College Program

Holly Haduch
Holly was selected to receive a $2,000 scholarship. Holly is a student at Mercer County College. She is a student member of the Licensed Site Remediation Professionals Association. She has been volunteering for this organization since she was 14. Holly is currently attending Mercer County College and plans to attend University after obtaining her associate degree in engineering science. Holly looks forward to continuing her education in order to reach her goal of protecting the environment.
Maximilian Von Peucker
Max was selected to receive a $4,000 scholarship. Max is a student at Mercer County College. He is a member of the Mercer County College Engineering Club and interned for Advanced Infrastructure Design last summer. Max is currently attending Mercer County College and plans to attend University after obtaining his associate degree in engineering science. Max has had an interest in buildings and roads since an early age and this interest was encouraged by his parents.
